Now on to the good stuff… It may look like the older 82A1 or the old M107 but the M107A1 has been re-engineered to be lighter and stronger. Over all it is 4 Lbs. lighter than previous models. This rifle is silencer ready with a new bolt carrier group. It has titanium 4 port muzzle brake is designed for a quick attach Barrett .50 BMG suppressor. The upper receiver is made of a lightweight aluminum and features a rigid 27 MOA optics rail. Inside the upper receiver the bolt carrier sits on hardened steel, and a anti-ware strip for added durability. A thermal-guard cheek piece protects the shooters face from heat and cold. The rear-barrel stop and front-barrel bushing are bolted and bonded with a compound similar to that used on space shuttles. A titanium barrel key and fully chrome-lined bore and chamber add to the rifles durability. The mono pod has also been re-designed using titanium and polymer and can be easily adjusted from either side. As for the rifles lower receiver it includes a new aluminum recoil buffer system that is optimized for use with a suppressor. The bolt carrier components are protected with a mix of PVD coatings and advanced nickel Teflon plating that increases lubricity, is corrosion resistant and makes cleaning tons easier.
